Seton Falls Park- Community Forest Conservation & Care

This webinar is a kick-off introduction to a series of in-person workshops and virtual presentations about forest ecology in your neighborhood’s favorite park — Seton Falls! This summer and fall, the NAC will lead hands-on workshops about forest ecology, how to identify plants, and how to care for the forest and its trails. Everyone is invited to get involved and work together with the NAC, NYC Parks, and other neighborhood community organizations to plant and manage forests in Seton Falls Park.

At the end of this collaboration, we will have created forest management recommendations that address the needs of the community and the ecological needs of natural areas in Seton Falls Park. Participants of this program will gain the skills to keep their parks healthy for years to come and combat climate change locally. Neighbors of Seton Falls Park are encouraged to attend but everyone is welcome!
