Seton Falls Park Community Forest Care Workshop
Join community members, the Natural Areas Conservancy (NAC), the Seton Falls Park Preservation Coalition, NYC Parks Stewardship Team, NYC Parks Urban Park Rangers, and the New York Botanical Garden EcoQuest Team in a half-day, hands-on workshop about local ecology and wildlife, plant identification and biodiversity, and how to care for the forest and its trails. We will start and end our event with an opportunity for participants to meet one another, reflect, and connect about how we care for Seton Falls Park forests and how the forest nurtures us.
Participants of the workshop will receive all books and materials we use (limited to 20 adults) as well as information and resources to choose additional involvement. Neighbors and stewards of Seton Falls Park are prioritized for this workshop but everyone is welcome to join.
Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Water and snacks will be provided.
Support for this project was provided to NAC by a Long Island Sound Futures Fund grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
