Inwood Hill Park Bird Walk with the NAC and NYC Audubon in Honor of World Migratory Bird Day
Join birding experts Loyan Beausoleil and Rachael Joakim, and the Natural Areas Conservancy’s Trails Community Engagement Manager, Josh Otero, on World Migratory Bird Day for a hike through Inwood Hill Park’s mature forest in search of kinglets, warblers, flycatchers, sparrows, thrushes, and more. Then search the shore of the Inwood Hill Park salt marshes for herons and ducks. During the walk, the NAC will also highlight various trail initiatives and improvements happening in the park. It’s a great opportunity to go birding and learn more about how trails increase our access to nature. Some hilly walking required.
Registration is not required but encouraged (it helps us know how many extra binoculars we should bring!). Free. Limited to 20.
This event is made possible thanks to generous funding from Con Edison.
