Forest Bathing in Alley Pond Park
The Natural Areas Conservancy is pleased to offer another opportunity to try this unique activity in Queens’ Alley Pond Park.
Our expert guides will be Nancy Kopans and Linda Lombardo. Nancy is the founder of Urban Edge Forest Therapy and an attorney for Ithaka, an education non-profit. Linda founded Long Island Forest Walks and is a certified life coach.
After the walk, the event will conclude with a tea ceremony and light snack.
This event is free of charge, but space is very limited and registration is required. If you would like to attend, we ask that you please commit to the entire event.
This event will go ahead in most weather. In case of a serious storm the rain/snow date will be Sunday, December 16 from 10 am – 1 pm.
This will not be a strenuous walk, but remember that we will be outside for up to three hours in December. Please wear comfortable close-toed shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and bring water. We strongly recommend dressing in layers. Bring a fleece, a warm coat, a hat, gloves, and a scarf.
This event was made possible through support to the Natural Areas Conservancy from Con Edison.
