City of Water Day: Marine Park Ecology Tour

Join NAC staff for an exploration of Marine Park’s Red and Blue Trail. We’ll discuss sustainable trails, plant id, and wetland ecology.

The Natural Areas Conservancy (NAC) will host a guided walk on the Red and Blue Trail at Marine Park as part of City of Water Day and the Jamaica Bay Festival. During this hike we will explore the trail and learn about our local waterfront. Attendees will learn about sustainable trail building, ethnobotany related plant ID, wetland ecology and the importance of a resilient shared waterfront. If you are attending, please fill out this volunteer waiver.

All ages are welcome. Attendees under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Thank you Waterfront Alliance, New York–New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program (HEP) and Jamaica Bay Rockaway Park Conservancy (JBRPC) for your continual work in improving our water ways.
