Corporate Volunteer Opportunities

Nature Trails Corporate Volunteer Day
Volunteers play a critical role in supporting NAC’s work to revitalize and steward NYC’s natural areas. Volunteers contribute to our on-the-ground efforts while learning about the important role natural areas play in our social and ecological health.

Volunteers will work alongside NAC staff to improve access to nature by maintaining NYC’s network of 300 nature trails, by clearing trails and removing invasive species. We will work with you to design an impactful, fun, and educational experience for your team.

Volunteer Day Overview
Length: Four hours
Timing: Year-round, weather permitting
Accommodates up to 30 volunteers

Every volunteer day includes:
-Detailed coordination leading up to event, including wayfinding information and project overview
-Behind-the-scenes guided tour and nature walk to learn basic plant ID techniques
-Hands-on stewardship activity suitable for all ability levels, supervised by NAC staff (all necessary tools provided)
-Post-event impact report and team photo

NAC volunteer days take place outdoors in NYC Parks – volunteers will experience the beauty of forests in the Bronx, salt marsh wetlands in Staten Island, and nature trails in Queens and Manhattan. Volunteers should dress in closed-toed shoes, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty and bring water, sun protection, and snacks.
