National Trails Day: Alley Pond Park Trail Structure Installation
We are excited to have you join us for National Trails Day at Alley Pond Park!
NAC staff will provide instruction and a hands on opportunity for attendees to learn how to install check steps, a trail structure that improves access and mitigates erosion, along the trail at Alley Pond Park.
If you are attending, please fill out this volunteer waiver.
We will meet in the Eastern section of parking lot.

- If taking public transit, closest bus is the Q12 and closest train is Port Washington LIRR
During this workday you will:
- Learn how to plan and assess site to install check step
- Install a check step
What you should bring:
- A water bottle
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Long pants
- Sturdy, closed toe shoes
