Pelham Bay Park City Nature Challenge Guided Hike

Join NAC staff in an exploration of the trails at Pelham Bay Park and capture observations of flora and fauna for the 2026 CNC.
The Natural Areas Conservancy (NAC) will host a guided walk through Pelham Bay Park’s trails to explore the diversity of flora and fauna. Volunteers will learn how to identify these plants and learn how to make iNaturalist observations of any other signs of nature you find along the way. These observations will contribute to the 2026 City Nature Challenge and NYC’s overall ranking during the weekend.
If you are attending, please fill out this volunteer waiver. Note: Every attendee must fill out a waiver. If you have others joining, please ensure they fill out the waiver above as well.
What you should bring:
- A water bottle
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Sturdy, closed toe shoes
- Smart phone with the app iNaturalist downloaded
Join the NAC Network City Nature Challenge group on iNaturalist. The user with the most observations during City Nature Challenge Weekend will win a small prize.
