Rockaway Community Park Cleanup
Join the NYC Parks Stewardship team and the Natural Areas Conservancy to clean up one of the city’s most precious resources—the salt marsh at Rockaway Community Park. This wetland is home to mussels, crabs, and birds, and protects local communities from damages caused by storms and flooding. Help us clean up the marsh so that it may continue to grow and thrive. We recommend volunteers wear long pants and sturdy shoes with a thick sole. Work gloves will be provided. Registration is required. This event is hosted in partnership with NYC Parks and is supported through the Williams Rockaway Grant Program.
