Soundview Park Super Steward: Trail Maintainer Training

Join us for a Super Steward: Trail Maintainer training on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Soundview Park.

If you are attending, please fill out this volunteer waiver. Note: Every attendee must fill out waiver. If you have others joining, please ensure they fill out the waiver above as well.

During this training you will learn:

  • How to navigate using Citywide Trails Team trail maps
  • How to identify and assess trail conditions
  • Ways to mitigate trail concerns
  • Plant identification and invasive/non-native species management techniques
  • Standard trail corridor dimensions & how to prune native vegetation using basic arboriculture methods

What you should bring:

  • A water bottle
  • Weather appropriate clothing
  • Long pants
  • Sturdy, closed toe shoes
