Highbridge Park – Ecology Tour and Afternoon Poetry Session

On Saturday, September 24, join the Natural Areas Conservancy for an afternoon ecology walk followed by a poetry workshop in Highbridge Park, Manhattan. Participants will take a brief walk on the nature trail in Highbridge Park, where they will learn about the landscape, local ecology, and ways to get involved in more local opportunities to steward their neighborhood trails. After the walk participants will join a nature themed poetry writing workshop, followed by an opportunity to perform or recite original works. The workshop will be hosted by the NAC’s Trails Community Engagement Manager, Josh Otero. Eco-friendly notebooks will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
