Inwood Hill Invasive Species Challenge
Each spring, the garlic mustard plant (Allaria petiolata) can be found blanketing the ground of many New York City natural areas. This invasive herb emits chemical compounds that prevent native seeds from sprouting, and can cause serious harm to local habitats. The Natural Areas Conservancy and NYC Parks need your help to pull up as much garlic mustard as possible during our Spring Invasive Challenge!
Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone.
