National Trails Day Spuyten Duyvil Shorefront Park Trail Improvement Project
Join the Friends of Spuyten Duyvil and pitch in for an hour or more with volunteer Trail Maintainers to use logs, stones, and other materials found in the park to repair trails damaged by heavy rains.
Tasks include raking the trails, removing invasive plants, cutting up and moving fallen trees, hauling rocks and soil, stripping bark off logs, digging trenches, installing trail structures such as drainage dips, check steps, and water bars. Tools, gloves, & training provided. Sturdy shoes, long pants, a hat, water, and snacks recommended. Note: There are no restrooms or water fountains in this park. RSVP REQUIRED.
