2026 Forests in Cities Workshop Atlanta (March 30-31)

Registration for the 2026 Forests in Cities Workshop Atlanta is now open!

Join us March 30-31, 2026, for a gathering of practitioners, policy makers, and researchers that care for, protect, or are simply interested in urban forested natural areas. This is the only conference that is focused specifically on the topic! Join us this spring to network, problem solve, and learn together.

Themes covered during the workshop will include:

  • Mapping urban natural areas
  • Managing urban nature trail systems
  • Creating standards for forest care
  • Protecting and managing natural areas in cities
  • Engaging the community around urban forests

Not a member of the Forest in Cities network? No problem. For the first time, the Natural Areas Conservancy is offering workshop tickets to urban forestry professionals outside of the network. Secure your slot now to be a part of this important annual gathering of researchers and practitioners. Seats are limited!

Thank you to our partners at the Atlanta Parks Department and Atlanta Department of City Planning for your partnership in hosting this event.

If you have any questions, please reach out to sam.lawson@naturalareasnyc.org.
