Trails and Their Impacts Beyond the Parks

During the age of COVID-19, New York City’s trails have never been more important. They’ve provided much needed space for exercise, relaxation, and connection to nature to help balance out our increased time indoors. With the urgency of this moment in mind, the NAC’s citywide trails team has been hard at work, maintaining and caring for these beloved outdoor spaces. And as local communities increasingly turn to our trails systems, our team is getting to see firsthand how they’re making an impact in the lives of New Yorkers.

Join us on Zoom on Tuesday, October 20 at 6:00 p.m. as our citywide trails team — Julia, Gabriel, Josh, and Isaac — share project updates and explore how New York City’s trails provide social and environmental benefits for surrounding communities. This event will be held on Zoom, and registration is required. The program will be one hour with an opportunity for Q&A at the end. This event has been made possible through support to the Natural Areas Conservancy from Con Edison.
