Virtual Event: Kids and the Outdoors

While many of our favorite cultural institutions, summer camps, and in-person public programming have been closed or canceled due to COVID-19, New York City’s parks provide the perfect spaces for some relaxation and fun. But if you’re a parent, it can be taxing to continuously create activities and games to keep your children engaged while visiting your local forests or green spaces, especially during these difficult times.

Join us on Monday, July 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. as the NAC hosts Sarita Covington, founder of Upper Manhattan Forest Kids, for Virtual Event: Kids and the Outdoors. During this virtual program, Sarita will demonstrate and share activities for parents to recreate with their children to help them engage with New York City’s natural areas and local nature.

This event is limited to 100 spots through Zoom. Please only sign up if you plan to attend. We will keep the program to an hour, with an opportunity for Q&A at the end. This event was made possible through support to the Natural Areas Conservancy from Con Edison.
