The Power of Communication
At the Natural Areas Conservancy, our ecologists and researchers work to conserve and restore New York City’s 20,000 acres of forests, wetlands, and grasslands. But how does that work change as we learn more about the devastating effects of climate change? Better yet, how do we talk about such an enormous challenge like climate change with our fellow nature enthusiasts? There is power in how we communicate — and how we communicate about climate change and the importance of conserving urban nature is a task worth undertaking.
Join us on Thursday, May 20 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for our next virtual event: The Power of Communication. During this hour-long session, the NAC will host a virtual conversation with Eric Fine from the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication to talk all things climate change communication. Eric will share his best tips for making the topic more accessible, allowing us to bring more people into the climate change conversation.
A big thank you to Con Edison for sponsoring this event and our 2021 event series. The Power of Communication will take place on Zoom, and registration is required.
